We have several programs designed to meet the needs of the community. If you are interested, please call C.L.A.S.S. at 830-899-2527 . - Times are "Ruff" is a food and dog house program for the community members who want to keep their pets but are having trouble provinding for them. Mostly operated through Habitat For Safe Seniors. Service availability will be determined by shelter staff.
- Spay and Neuter information is available under prices and services. or please call and speak to staff.
- Wellness is available to only to surgery patients. all other shots are being referred to vangard vet which is a mobile low cost clinic. please visit www.lowcostvacc.com or call 210-653-3660
- Senior Citizen Program is for those 62+, and provides for free adoption of adult animals every 3 years.
- Senior Pets Food Assistance is geared to help some of our older animals find a good home. If your new pet is considered a senior the fee will be waved and you will recieve as much assistance as available to care for them from the shelter.
- Pet Food Assistance will provide pet food for qualifying low-income families. All animals need to be spayed or neutered when begining the program or shortly thereafter. information will be availble to you through the shelter.
- Spring Cleaning is something we can do all year round. we accept your gently used belongings for a tax deduction and resale it at local trift shops for funds to benefit our cause. So clean out that closet and garage.
As a NO-kill Shelter, we always have animals available to good homes. Our basic fee of $50 for cats and $130 for dogs includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchipping,and the spay or neuter surgery when the animal is at an appropriate age.
