Boomer

We were wanting another Lab, and when we found Boomer, we knew we had our next dog. He loves roaming on our fenced 5 acres and he really enjoys fetching his ball. Most of all, we love having him there and he truly is a part of our family.
Thank you CLASS!

Bethany

Bethany was the cat who had been at the shelter the longest. She was shy at first, almost to the point of being feral, and she’d run and hide when people would visit the cattery. Gradually, the love and patience of the people at the shelter brought her out of her shell and she began to calm down and stop hiding. Finally, after 4 years with C.L.A.S.S., a family with several other former shelter cats saw her, heard her story, and decided to take her home!

Ottis

Ottis was found wandering down Highway 1044 in New Braunfels. Temperatures were in the upper 90s and he was heat-stressed and exhausted. His little feet were blistered and swollen from the hot pavement, requiring several weeks of ointment and he had to wear little booties on his feet. He’s all well now, and just went home with his new family. Ottis will have another Great Dane mix to be his friend.

Oreo

C.L.A.S.S. had a black and white cat named Oreo, so when another black and white cat came in, they named him Double Stuff, because he was twice the size! This fluffy fellow spent his days at C.L.A.S.S. as a friendly office cat who loved to lounge around and be petted. He got adopted by a new family, along with two other cats! Double Stuff, Romeo and Clarence have visited the shelter several times since their adoption. Their adoring new family even dressed them up for Halloween!

Duke

Duke was always a very sedate cat, never really approaching visitors or seeming to have much interest in seeking attention. It seemed like no one was ever going to notice this large quiet boy. However, a very slow change was taking place as he spent more time at the shelter: he gradually became more outgoing. A man and his son recently came to the shelter to each pick out an adult cat to adopt, and Duke met them and won them over. Finally, after 2 and 1/2 years, Duke left the shelter to go home with his new family.

Jack

Jack's new family sent us an update. He is adjusting very well. When he is feeling highly energetic, they walk him a lot and make him chase his ball, and that seems to tire him out. He has taken up residence on his new family's couch, and is quite content lounging there most of the time. They wrote: "We all love him dearly and are glad we found him and were able to make him part of our family."

Hawk and Dakota

Hawk and Dakota came in together, and it was clear to every one that they were the best of buddies, and needed to be adopted together. It took a while, but they finally have the right home. They have already enjoyed a trip to the coast with their new family, who sent us this picture and wrote to tell us, "they are amazing dogs and we feel very lucky to have found them."

Lil' C

Lil' C, short for Little Cat, came to the shelter as a very tiny kitten. Lil' C was very frail and kept getting sick, so some caring people from C.L.A.S.S. fostered her at home until she got well. Being around lots of different people and different animals during her life has made Lil' C a very friendly cat who isn't afraid of anyone or anything. Lil' C has been renamed Dee Dee by her new owners, and she is enjoying life as a much-loved office cat at a local newspaper.

Ezekiel

Camry, now called Ezekiel, had kind of a rough beginning with his new family, but some training and treatment for a skin allergy transformed him from an unruly puppy into a wonderful addition to his new family. They wrote: "He is REALLY smart and can sit, stay, lay, shake, kiss, jump, dance, and roll on command. He can stay in a "down stay" for up to 10 minutes without issues. He is learning to ring a bell when it's time for him to use the potty. He LOVES the kids and lets them crawl all over him. He is really popular in our neighborhood and he prances during his morning and afternoon walks - everyone wants to pet him."
